J959N Child Education and Community Development Against Trafficking

The Situation

In partnership with 3 Angels Nepal, this project aims to eliminate the causes of trafficking and its effects on Nepal’s children.

Sadly, children are often at-risk and adversely affected by the high rates of human trafficking within Nepal. The Child Education and Community Development Against Trafficking project prioritises children affected by or vulnerable to human trafficking, by supporting them through education. Each child’s situation is assessed individually and an appropriate care and education plan is developed. Children are supported to live with their families or where absolutely necessary are supported through family-style homes. 

The Objectives

1. To prevent human trafficking in Nepal through quality education and awareness. 
2. To ensure equitable quality education for Nepal’s most vulnerable children. 
3. To increase awareness of trafficking risks in vulnerable communities, to reduce the rates of child trafficking.
