About Us
Vision
We work towards a world where people live free of poverty with the opportunity and the ability to shape their own lives.
Mission
Global Development Group SCIO exists to relieve poverty in a tangible way and provide long-term solutions through the delivery of quality aid and development projects together with our partners around the world.
Approach
Global Development Group SCIO believes our partnership model is an effective approach that leverages the strengths of each partner while maintaining collaboration and transparency. Through a small-scale, grassroots approach our development projects are implemented in consultation with the local beneficiary community to identify the needs they want to address, utilising their existing resources, knowledge, skills and materials. We seek to build local capacity empowering beneficiaries to become responsible for their own development and ensuring sustainable impact.

Sustainable Development Goals
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth.
Every Global Development Group SCIO project aims to address one or more of the Sustainable Development Goals as a part of Global Development Group SCIO's holistic approach that contributes towards a world where people live free of poverty with the opportunity and the ability to shape their own lives.
The specific Goal/s that each project is working towards are identified on the individual project pages on this website.
