Glorious Education Uganda is a Global Development Group project supporting Glorious Link Nursery and Primary School, located in Kiryandongo District, Uganda.
The school provides education, meals, and community support for over 300 children. Our facilities include classrooms, religious and cultural spaces, kitchens, and ablution blocks. The operation, maintenance, and growth of these facilities rely heavily on the generosity of donors.
Founded in 2010 by a visionary community leader, the school began with just four nursery students. Since then, it has steadily grown in both student enrollment and staff, driven by increasing demand for quality education in the area. Today, Glorious Link is a fully-fledged nursery and primary school, serving as a feeder to local secondary schools—and eventually, we hope, to universities.
Currently, the school has three formal buildings for classrooms and staff. In addition, informal structures serve as religious, cultural, and kitchen areas. With the help of generous donors from around the world, we have been able to expand facilities and meet the growing needs of our students, staff, and the wider community.
This new phase of the project aims to build on that progress by raising funds to further improve and expand the school. We plan to replace informal structures with safe, government-approved infrastructure. Our goals also include covering daily operational costs—such as staff wages, food, and basic healthcare—and improving the learning experience with durable furniture, modern writing materials, and updated textbooks.
At present, the school lacks a playground. We hope to raise funds to purchase a nearby plot of land for this purpose, giving the children a safe and joyful place to play.
Since its inception, Glorious Link Nursery and Primary School has made a significant impact in the region, transforming the lives of hundreds of children. These young learners now have access to quality education and a safe, nurturing environment that equips them to become strong, responsible individuals.
The school is growing at an exciting pace, and we are eager to provide the resources this deserving community needs. We are already seeing the fruits of our labor reflected in the personal growth of our students and, by extension, the community.
These at-risk children are supported with food, healthcare, education, and the care they need for a brighter future.
