J627N Cambodia Tyrannus Development Projects seeks to support an existing school in Phnom Penh (Hope Primary and Secondary school) and develop and support three afternoon schools in Pursat as a preliminary step for establishing a new primary school. The project will remove some of the key barriers to primary school attendance, address the educational needs of children and provide a pathway out of poverty. Hope Primary and Secondary school provides a fully funded, fully registered education to over 300 students. Although this is a great step in the right direction for improving the number of quality schools available for children in Cambodia, the need is still large. Pursat Afternoon School will provide care and education for a few hours each day in the transition of it being established as a primary school.
