The Situation
The Rural Schools Education Project in Cambodia seeks to combat poor facilities surrounding the current schooling system in rural Cambodia.
The Objectives
- Providing rural schools with electricity and creating awareness of the importance of education, especially for young girls.
- Issues of gender equality and discrimination towards women will be proactively addressed within schools and the wider community to ensure females are being encouraged to attend school.
- Each school will be provided with access to power and technology, with the goal of each student having a basic level of English and computer literacy being sought after.
