Sudan’s suffering receive food and medical supplies
The Nuba mountains of South Kordofan, Sudan, are continuing to be bombarded by aerial assault. Civilians and civilian infrastructure has been targeted. Many people are cut off, denied access to their own land in order to plant crops, and are struggling to survive.
The only hospital in this region, servicing 750,000 people, is in urgent need of funds to continue its vital work in helping this community.
Global Development Group project J051NA, together with partner Ray and Margaret Wilson Foundation, has been able to deliver funds to send a cargo plane of emergency food and medical assistance to the community.
This mission was complete just in time, before the start of the wet season which would have hampered the effort, preventing the plane from landing on the only air-strip in the area.
