International Care Ministries (ICM) Community Development Initiatives provides life-changing community-based education for adults, and kindergartens and malnourished nutrition programs for impoverished children across the Philippines. ICM has consistently seen a 25% decrease in reported serious illness and a 33% increase in reported household income by those participating in the education programs.
Through partnerships with community leaders in over 3,000 slums and poor rural villages in the Visayas and Mindanao, ICM is able to deliver essential community-based training to promote stronger health and financial well-being for over 100,000 men, women and children each year. Parents not only learn how to better feed and care for their children, but also learn new ways of earning income to support the needs of their families. In addition, ICM’s Jumpstart Kindergartens provide a solid academic foundation for over 2,000 vulnerable children each year. ICM’s Malnourished Children Outreach assists over 2,700 severely malnourished children each year.
One family at a time, ICM is bringing help, hope and change to the poorest of the poor in the Philippines.
