J727N Kaliwesi Village Development Project

The Situation

Kaliwesi Village in Indonesia has been troubled by conflict and poverty for decades. The major concerns and needs for this village are access to good education, the opportunity to acquire skills to create businesses, jobs to generate income, and access to good health services. This project will address all these issues beginning with the children of the village.

The Objective 

J727N Kaliwesi Village Development Project aims to bring quality education, the opportunity to acquire skills to create businesses, jobs to generate income and access to good health care services to the Kaliwesi Village in Central Java, Indonesia. Children in the village will have the opportunity for sponsorship support. The construction of a Children’s/Community Centre will provide children sponsored by this project with accommodation (in their own home or foster care), meals, clothing, shoes, school supplies, sporting equipment, medical and dental care and a complete education at school. All children will be encouraged to complete high school, attend university and then pursue a career of their choice. Such fields could include, farming, teaching, hairdressing, small businesses, mechanics or other technical trades.
