The Situation
The number of children living on the streets of Bolivia after being abandoned or escaping unsafe family environments has become an increasing problem in recent decades.
This project partners with Bolivia’s Social Welfare Department to provide support, care and a family environment to children abandoned or facing unsafe situations in the Riberalta Amazon region of Bolivia. Casa Segura focuses on family, values, education and life-preparedness.
The Objectives
- To meet the needs of children referred to Casa Segura, including physical, emotional, education and social needs.
- To provide short or long-term security for children as required, under the guidance of the Social Welfare Department.
