The Situation

On Tuesday 17^th December 2024, a powerful 7.3 Magnitude earthquake struck Port Vila, causing widespread devastation. Multi-storey buildings have collapsed, landslides have blocked roads, and many families are without power, water, or access to basic necessities. Communication outages have left many isolated, and the scale of personal losses continues to unfold.

The Objectives

This project is focusing on immediate community support and recovery. Efforts include:

• Providing clean drinking water by installing a large water tank at the school gates, using a deep well discovered earlier this year.
• Supporting vulnerable groups such as the elderly, disabled, and breastfeeding mothers with essential supplies.
• Helping school staff and families replace lost household items and rebuild their lives.
