The Situation
Project J908N Seeds of Hope provides care, health support and education for children aged zero to year 12 who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS at Grace Academy in Ndola, Zambia.
Grace Academy is the only boarding school in the region that caters specifically for HIV/AIDS affected or infected children.
The Objectives
- Provide excellent medical care and antiretroviral therapy (ARV’s) for all HIV positive children
- Raise leaders through education and opportunity to give sustainable hope and improved future prospects for the children and their communities
- Support a group home where eight girls live with their house mothers with a goal of improving care to the children
- Support local disabled people through wheelchair fitting and provision
- Create a shipping container library for a rural community school
- Run personal development camps for teenage boys
- Widow and orphan support for extreme circumstances
