J1123N Building Hope Thailand
Thailand, Southeast Asia
In partnership with Hope Alive Foundation

In the mountains of Northern Thailand, where the Karen, Hmong, Lahu, and other hilltribe communities have long faced marginalisation and displacement, Hope Alive Foundation is working to provide vulnerable young people with residential care and education opportunities that can transform their futures. Through Hope House, the project offers safe accommodation, resources, and holistic support that nurtures emotional, social and physical development. Hope House equips students with life skills, resilience, and moral integrity, encouraging them to pursue higher education and meaningful careers. By fostering a positive environment, the project not only empowers individuals but also creates the potential for sustained change across communities. The project is also focused on expanding facilities to create a purpose-built home for students and staff, ensuring the ability to reach even more young people in need.
Objective
To increase the student capacity and effectiveness of Hope House to accommodate more children in Chiang Mai over the next three years.
