The Situation
Zimbabwe is a country of breathtaking landscapes, extraordinary animals and vibrant culture. Yet many Zimbabweans live in abject poverty. Essential services such as healthcare and education are out of reach for millions, leaving individuals and families struggling. Unfortunately, it’s not just humans who are suffering. Wildlife is also impacted as habitats are threatened and resources dwindle leaving animals vulnerable. In a country that relies heavily on tourism, it is vital that both its people and wildlife are able to flourish.
The Michie Foundation was established by David and Koala Michie to provide a simple way for international donors to support Zimbabwean charities who are providing essential services to help some of the most vulnerable communities and animals. Contributions to the broader work of Michie Foundation can be made below, and donations will be directed to the area of greatest need in consultation with the implementing project partners. To support the specific projects described below, please click the links to donate via the project page.
