J807NCO WFP Colombia Earthquakes Emergency Appeal
Colombia, Americas
In partnership with World Food Programme
A powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck Colombia at 7:34am on Monday 10 August 2026, with its epicentre near San José del Palmar in Chocó. Several aftershocks have followed.
Buildings have collapsed across affected areas, leaving families without homes and livelihoods. Search and rescue operations are continuing, while authorities assess the full scale of the damage and humanitarian needs.
The UN World Food Programme (WFP) is on the ground providing life-saving food and logistics support to families affected by the earthquake, including people who were already experiencing high levels of food insecurity. With your help, WFP can support families facing urgent needs in Colombia.
