          career, Magawa has sniffed out 71 landmines and dozens more
          unexploded items. In September, Magawa was awarded the UK’s
          PDSA Gold Medal, akin to the George Cross for animals, for his
          life-saving devotion to duty.
          In the past 12 months, the J932N project has contributed to
          APOPO’s work in Siem Reap, Battambang and Preah Vihear
          provinces. Initially surveyed by SMART Technical Survey Dogs,
          followed by Mine Detection Rats and supported by human
