The Situation
Education is a fundamental human right and it is one of the most crucial factors influencing an individual’s ability to develop to their full potential in life. Access to and completion of an adequate education provides numerous opportunities for individuals, families and whole communities.
We are working in partnership with Global Development Group (GDG) to raise funds for Bethel International Training College (BITC) in order to construct a new training centre and preschool facility.
One of the most effective ways to empower men, women and children in Papua New Guinea (PNG) is through education. Therefore, Bethel International Training College (BITC) is embarking on this project to equip people from PNG and beyond.
The Objectives
1. Construct an educational facility that will be used for a preschool and vocational training. The outcome of this goal is to have a fully functioning educational facility that is equipped with furniture and resources needed to run a preschool and vocational training.
2. Empower men and women through the provision of vocational training courses. The outcome of this goal is that men and women are provided with an opportunity to gain valuable training that will increase their employability and improve their livelihoods.
3. Empower children through the provision of early childhood education. The outcome of this goal is that by accessing quality preschool education, children are better prepared for primary school and are more likely to reach higher educational outcomes.
