PROJECTS

Global Development Group
projects around the world work to
transform the lives of women just
like Hamidah.
When Hamidah was 14 years old,
she was kidnapped and trafficked
out of her home country Uganda.
Locked in a windowless room, she
was kept as a slave for almost
two years. When she escaped and
returned to Uganda she discovered
she was HIV+ and pregnant. She felt
like her future was gone.
Some time later she encountered
GDG partner Watoto. Through
project J416 she has found
restoration from the hurts of the
past. Today her and her son have
hope for their future and live
knowing they are accepted within
their community.

Global Development Groupâ€™s international network conducted over 200 projects in the 2021 financial
year, in 39 countries, implemented in partnership with local in-country organisations. Our passion is to
provide comprehensive quality management to help achieve development effectiveness.

This year our projects prioritised meeting the essential needs     In Papua New Guinea low literacy rates and low school attendance rates
of our beneficiaries, many who have faced worsening poverty,       negatively impact childrenâ€™s futures. Buk bilong Pikinini, project J986N,
lengthy lockdowns and significant health risks. Alongside          establishes childrenâ€™s libraries in schools, hospitals and community
these activities we remain committed to achieving sustainable      centres all over PNG in order to improve literacy rates and therefore
development in all our projects and support the Sustainable        improve the livelihoods of children.
Development Goals, with an aim to address all poverty-related
issues as completely, effectively, professionally and sustainably
as possible.

Our reach spans developing countries from the Pacific to Asia,
across the Indian Subcontinent, the Middle East, Americas and
Africa, where GDG projects and partners work alongside local
communities to address their unique challenges. The following
pages cover a selection of GDG projects and the impacts
achieved over the past year.</code></pre>
