Cambodia, Southeast Asia

The Situation

Empowering Cambodia is a registered FNGO with a heart to equip, empower, and enrich the lives of the people it engages with at a grass roots level, living in central Cambodia. The community development program is providing long term solutions through its projects.

Empowering Cambodia’s Water and Sanitation Hygiene (WASH) project is responding to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 6 – Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.

The Objectives

  1. The project is saving lives by improving the health and general wellbeing of the local people within Kampong Thom Province. This is achieved through the installation of water wells and distribution of water filters, both providing safe clean drinking water. The installation of toilets allows the vulnerable people of this region, access to adequate sanitation hygiene and privacy.
  2. Providing supplementary health resources such as mosquito nets, food covers, and essential toiletries, are distributed at interactive training sessions focused on water and mosquito borne disease prevention
