Located in Steung Meanchey, Phnom Penh and providing aid to surrounding provinces, Focus Cambodia partners with Cambodian NGO’s in educational and vocational training for children and adults living in poverty stricken conditions.
The Focus Cambodia Centre supplements the public school education of seventy children, providing catch up schooling, English and IT classes, as well as extra tuition in health and life skills, cultural music and Khmer dance which all give them skills for their future.
Medical checkups and nutrition programs are also run for students with Focus Cambodia recently partnering with a local NGO to provide educational facilities in the southern province of Kampot where many of the local children up to the age of 16 had never attended a school.
Additionally in the Svay Rieng Province, Focus Cambodia works with local organisations to provide mobile medical clinics, health care for 5 villages. With these partners, Focus Cambodia have built their first Mercy Hut run by locals which provides a location for skills training for the people of the local villages, enabling them to be self-sustainable with the view of growing the number of Mercy Huts across the provinces.
